Mullah Dadullah, the most senior Taliban military commander and a member of the movement's 10-man leadership council, warned people to stay away from government and militaryinstallations throughout Afghanistan during the inauguration.

"We do not want to harm innocent people," he said, adding that Taliban guerrillas had been given orders: "If you get a chance, disrupt the ceremony."

He said guerrillas all over the country had been told to be ready to launch attacks to remind foreigners that Islamist fighters opposed their occupation of Afghanistan.

Mata Musing: "We do not want to harm innocent people"????

Is it not harmful to disrupt the growth and development of Afghanistan? Is it not harmful to seek to put a terrorist regime in place of self-government? Is it not harmful to limit the financial growth of a third world nation?

Terrorists contradict themselves with this blather. Yet all too many world leaders persist in legitimizing their existance and actions by inferring these cockroaches have a genuine beef. In truth, they are nothing more than a minority of thugs and murders, allowed to flourish by a complacent international community.

Yet for all their bluster, the Afghan election went smoothly. One can only hope they are all talk and capable of little action. The guest list at the ceremonies is a plethora of high level officials and is sure to be an inviting target for their mayhem.
