Last night was my town's annual Christmas Parade. Over 150 floats!!! My arm aches from waving; my cheeks from smiling and laughing with the throng around me on the sidewalks. From Jaycees, to churches, to schools, to homeschools, to cars, industry, local businesses, cheerleaders, dancers, athletes.. Santa. Jesus Christ. Lots about Jesus Christ.
And, it was raining. And, that just didn't make a difference. My son who's not seen a parade like this in his lifetime we nicknamed Randy! Since he already received his Red Ryder BB gun years ago, we couldn't very well call him Ralphie. lol. "A Christmas Story".
I wish all towns could know Christmas parades like this.

My guess is most "towns" still do enjoy these parades. It's just the blue-land, big city types that are missing out on the joys of Christmas and settling for the watered down "holiday" instead.
Glad you enjoyed. You have been in California waaaaay too long, grrrrl.
