Pakistan: Citizen demands Musharraf step down

That citizen would be, Mrs. Bhutto, making such a demand. Furthermore, she and her demonstrators are threatening not to even vote in January.

Steve, at Sweetness & Light nails it best:

Gee, what a shock. We’ve never seen this before, have we?

First the demonstrations demanding elections. Then, once elections are scheduled, the opposition boycotts them anyway.

It’s almost as if they really don’t want a legitimate representative government.

Even more interesting that the actions of Musharraf... i.e. firing judges, arresting lawyers, imposing other "emergency rules"... is a tactic reminiscent of her own father's rule.

Considering her party constitutes only about a 1/3rd of Pakistan, me thinks she's over playing her hand.

Then again, her advisors and ministers have always been questionable at best.

Excellent points, MH. Strike me that she and her 1/3 party are ruled by ethos, just like our U.S. liberal counterparts.
