His Spiritual Home, a Bright Hill

I too have been mourning the passing of Pope John Paul

Reid Collins authors a beautiful glimpse of the Pope:

This Pope was probably the most Marian of them all. Visiting the shrine of Jasna Gora in his native country in June of 1979 he announced, "Mary's will is being fulfilled." As he lay a golden rose on the altar of the Black Madonna, he further declared: "Mother, I am yours and all that I have is yours."

I read a book in near past asserting that Marian was the 13th apostle! Oh, how the feminists did not agree with this Pope; and oh how he loved them anyway.

Years later it was still evident, this approachability. Speaking to young Poles in his homeland, John Paul II said: "Tell me what your love is, and I will tell you who you are."

He was ageless. The youth loved him, as did so many of us, and he loved us all. He saw beyond the veil. He saw Him in and through all things. He will always be asking us to return to the Mother church and as he fully knows it will be done in His time.

He was with God; He is with God; He will always be with God.
