Vigilantes?

NBC: Special Report: Border Vigilantes

Civilians from all walks of life - patrolling the border day and night -- even with the threat of violence. It's called the Minuteman Project. Their goal is stop the flow of illegal immigration through the Arizona-Mexico border.

Is it vigilantism? The beginning part of the Special Report makes out these people to be.. lawbreakers. Taking the law into their own hands. But are they, really? What are police, border agents but representatives of the people. These get paid from taxpayer funds out of "we the people".

Liberals love breaking the law, re-writing the constitution when it serves their goal of tearing apart America. They gather in great masses to do picket signs against anyone appearing to hold Christian convictions. They rally on the internet to support their Globalist King, George Soros. And what is Mr. Soros' agenda? Simple, pure anti-Americanism.

Perhaps these border "vigilantes" are instead, Boondock Saints, no? :)

An asidem? "Boondock Saints" gets a lousy review at the oh-so-liberal Kottke.org:

This may be the worst movie I've ever watched all the way through. Highly stylized garbage. Not even Willem Dafoe as an openly gay FBI agent in drag could save it (I'm not one of those people that thinks that bad movies are good because they're so bad). The only reason I gave it any points at all is because I watched it with friends and we heckled and it was a bit fun to do so (but only a bit).

I watched the flick with some awesome soldiers just returned from each, Iraq and Afghanistan (one is a surfer, dirt-bike racer from So. CA and a total technogeek: he's the one who brought the film over telling me *I* had to see it; that I'd love the flick as much as he did. I did.). The above review was obviously written by techno-geeks with a leftist bent. Sure, sure, there are parts I could argue concerning the flick; but I thought lefties were intellectuals? Couldn't they argue the film on its merits? There were some dynomite perspectives in that flick.

But it does raise the issue: How far can anyone of us, in this current day, continue to be civil given the insurgents abroad, and those calling themselves liberals, here in our own country. Liberals in this country LOVE the liberties they have -- liberties purchased and obtained for them by others. Ergo, some folks consider themselves SMARTER than those who have done the sacrificing. It's a weenie perspective.
