Fla., U.S. Courts Won't Hear Schiavo Case
By MITCH STACY, Associated Press Writer
No surprises here. The man says no to everything. However his reasoning is quite revealing. It is more about pride and the determination to appear indisputedly "right" about his prior decisions and denials.
"The requested intervention ... appears to be brought for the purpose of circumventing the courts' final judgment and order setting the removal date in violation of the separate of powers doctorate," Greer ruled Thursday.
Another revealing statement
"Theresa Marie Schiavo cannot live without a nutrition and hydration tube and Dr. Cheshire does not suggest otherwise. By clear and convincing evidence, it was determined she did not want to live under such burdensome conditions and that she would refuse such medical treatment/assistance," Greer wrote.
A couple of interesting observations on that statement. First of all, Greer has twice refused "eating therapy" for Terri. How the hell does he know she could not have again learned to ingest food and drink water. From all accounts, Terri can swallow. She does not drool.
And lastly, the "He said/she said" is something this Judge considers "clear and convincing" evidence. Again, this is the same Judge who refused to hear new evidence that Michael Schiavo may have lied about Terri's wishes. How "clear and convincing" is that?
