Neumayr: Summers Is Over

The frenzied reaction to Lawrence Summers' remarks about women in math and science exposes secular Harvard as more cultish and dogmatic than the religious college it replaced. Intellectuals who pat themselves on the back for appreciating Arthur Miller's play The Crucible are subjecting Summers to the crucible of political correctness, an admixture of ideological acids that burns through any intellectual who dares touch it.

This is merely more evidence as to how the Lefties treat their own who dare not submit to their "cultish" beliefs. There was nothing untoward in Mr. Summer's words.

But you see, in lib-legalese, "words equals actions". By the very nature of Mr. Summers "utterings" these women feel "raped". Therefore, they are building an hysterical case of having felt "raped" by mere words. And therefore demand he resign. Fact is, they have no case no matter how many lawyers, and how many different angles they attack him from.

Mr. Summers? Do not resign. Hold your institute steady, please. These who have covened to charge at you shall reap their just desserts in due time. This is the basis of their hysterica, just so you know -- that if they do not win against you, they shall have to suffer the consequences of their actions, their words. Their "words".

At best you can ensure they are not in charge of mandatory lower classes. And they'll scream "discrimination" at you. But stand fast. More see through this, and you are not alone. Be patient. Remember this storm shall pass though it seems a very dark night.

If Harvard cannot stand, then no college can stand against this madness. You were chosen for this task. Stand fast.
