AMSTERDAM — Justice authorities arrested a Moroccan man last month after receiving a tip-off that Islamic extremists were allegedly planning an attack on the Red Light District in Amsterdam, it was reported on Friday.

The National Detectives Unit was alerted to the supposed attack plan by three anonymous emails, the first of which was received on 14 September. Emails dated 27 September and 11 October gave further details of the suspects and addresses.
The emails warned that "terrorists in Amsterdam East" were plotting an attack on the Wallen area in Amsterdam, De Telegraaf reported. Muslim extremists, the paper said, were allegedly furious at the lack of morals in the prostitution zone.

L. was allegedly in contact with Syrian Redouan al-Issa, the fugitive leader of the terror network Hofstadgroep (Main City Group). The Syrian was an illegal immigrant in the Netherlands and gave Koran lessons in the home of Mohammed B., the suspected murderer of filmmaker Theo van Gogh. B. is also a member of the Main City Group.
The emails claimed the Syrian was involved in the plans to attack the Red Light District, while another target was the Dutch Parliament in The Hague. L. is alleged to have bought equipment needed to carry out the attack.

Playing the "why do they hate us game" in which the Dems so love to indulge, it's quite clear to me that the terrorists have truly stepped over a line with this one.
Islam's militants love to portray themselves as victims of the western world. Simultaneously, the Euros and sympathetic liberals clamor to legitimize their beefs by giving them voice and creedence in the media, or in political forums.
This planned assault shows Islamic terrorists are nothing more than thugs who demand control over the Netherlands and their culture. They insist on forcing Islam down the nation's throat, and everyone else be damned.
Think back... first the cry was "We do this because you occupy our lands and influence our children with your ugly western ways. You must leave our countries everywhere and change your attitude towards Islam". Almost sounds legitimate on the surface.
Then it was "we don't like your domestic policy towards Muslims" to France, and two journalists disappear off the face of the earth over head wear in schools.
Now it's left the political realm. Islam now attacks free enterprise because they don't like the nature of the business. In this case, it's Amsterdam's infamous Red Light district.
Without going into the morality of red light districts, one can only ask...if Muslims didn't like the liberal attitudes of the Dutch, why the heck did they go there to live?
As has been pointed many a time by more than a few, the majority of Islam immigrants in Europe keep to themselves. They do not assimilate or become part of the native country and it's culture.
Yet their silence and lack of condemnation of their Islamic militant factions indicate that peaceful Islam must not only sanction their reasoning, but their violent activities as well.
The Dutch, whether they recognize it or not, have been invaded. Islamic terrorists - not insurgents, not rebels and not freedom fighters - have declared war on it's citizenry and their very lifestyle. God help us if they migrate to Hollywood. There won't be a theatre, a broadcast station or saloon left standing.
