I'm baaaaack....

Just when you thought the blogworld was safe from we radical types.... I have returned. With a tad thinner blood from the warm, Florida sunshine, but happy to be back in beautiful, lush Oregon.

Starting out slowly... I'm still experiencing some culture shock from transitioning from the people packed Florida Pinellas peninsula to rural digs, not to mention the lack of sleep. Why on vacation we pack in more than we can accomplish and return home exhausted, I'll never know!

First on the list... in preparation for Pearl Harbor Day, I offer Oliver North's commentary drawing parallels between the Japanese assault and the political environment and Islam's jihad against the west. What a generation they were. I still am wow'd by them. And equally wow'd by our new warriors today. My heartfelt thanks and devotions to you all.

By Oliver North, Washington Times
To the extent today's schoolchildren are taught anything about the origins of the Pearl Harbor attack, the unprovoked assault is explained as the result of "Japanese expansionism," or worse yet, America denying Japan "essential raw materials and oil."

Such historical contortions from the Blame America First crowd ignore the ideological conviction of Tokyo's leaders, from Emperor Hirohito down, that the Japanese had a "divine duty" to cleanse Asia of Westerners and "inferior Western influences and institutions." The
Imperial Army, Navy and Air Force became instruments of a race war, waged with religious zeal.

Today's radical jihadists have precisely the same goal — evicting the infidels , meaning "Westerners," and all their institutional influence — from "Islamic lands."

The Japanese military never contemplated "invading" the continental United States. Nor do the extremist Imams, sheiks and mullahs inciting today's jihad envision seizing U.S. territory. But then and now, our adversaries were — and are — willing to employ any tactic, violate any rule of
"civilized war," and commit any atrocity to accomplish the "holy goal" of driving "Westerners" from "their region" of the world.

Michael Moore, who just can't seem to take the hint that he is less than welcome in most the nation, is hanging out in friendlier digs to revitalize his anti-Bush agendas. That would be Marin County, your old stomping grounds, Alia. Can't help but laugh at his comment:
"The good news is, we got 57 million votes and we didn't have a story," Moore said. "We had one tag line - 'He's not Bush.'"
His 57 million votes translates to 47-48% of the American voter turnout to Bush's 51%. And that, my friends, is an example of a nation that's even LESS divided than when Bill Clinton won both his terms.

So personally, with that in mind, I'm tired of hearing the losers scream "foul" and complain about the "great divide". Did they worry about that with Clinton's wins?

Of course not.

The UN, amidst their latest of scandals and haunted by a past filled with colossal failures, apparently wants to acquire some more US soil and additional office digs in NYC. They've got their eyes on Robert Moses park in the city, but are having a tough go convincing both Dem and Rep state legislators of the charm in trading some rare greenery in a city of skyscrapers for yet another building - especially one filled with int'l bureaucrats who hate the US.

Hold out boys and girls.... it's one of those rare "gotcha" moments by an "undivided" group of state congressional members!

Turning attentions to the Israeli-Palestine conflict and the renewed hope for peace following Arafat's death, Hamas has openly expressed it's desire to eradicate Israel and will accept nothing less. About all you can do is congratulate them on articulating what we have all known... that they do not know how to share and play well with others.

With that in mind, it will make little difference who succeeds Arafat since Hamas members themselves recognize no authority - including their own dissenting leadership. Recent statements by others do not echo these harsh and final statements of war and genocide. Thus, the ultimate winner of power in Palestine must first gain control over their own terrorists in-house before any chance at peace can exist.

And the chances of that happening are.....?

Reuters (Gaza)
GAZA (Reuters) - Hamas ruled out any truce with Israel Sunday and repeated its desire to destroy the Jewish state, rejecting what had appeared to be more conciliatory comments by one of the Islamic militant group's leaders.

"There is no talk about a truce now at all," Mahmoud Al-Zahar, a top Hamas leader, told reporters.

"Our strategy is to liberate all Palestinian soil," Zahar said, referring to the West Bank, Gaza and Israel.

Speaking of Arafat, it appears the slaughter of Olympians at Munich could happen all over again to Indian cricketers in Bangladesh.

I guess just killing innocent citizens, unarmed contractors and social aide workers, children, women, and hiding out in Mosques isn't embarrassingly coward enough behavior for these cockroaches. They now are including using annihilation of athletes to advance their cause of hatred.

Where IS the world outrage at the behavior? I am forever surprised at the complacency of the world community.

And one close to my heart... I am the granddaughter of Ukrainian immigrants on my paternal side. I know my Grandparents would be so proud to see their kinsmen rallying and railing against the machine, sharing in the joy of their victory of achieving a new vote and election law reforms. Quite a change from the days of when they traveled over to the US.

And just because we could all use a grin now and then, here's one that brings two thoughts to mind....

First, we are a nation of caring, compassionate types - all without laws requiring us to do so.

Second, in the American marketplace, this is proof positive that you can sell ANYTHING to ANYONE on E-Bay!
