--Isolate and Contain

Alia: Years back, it was David Horowitz who authored a strategy of "isolate and contain". Not only was he right; it worked. Was it a deliberate strategy? Possibly. But ultimately, I think the "blue voters" did it to themselves.

I left a "blue state" some months ago for personal reasons. And life in my new locale is so much nicer, on a daily basis. I feel like the battered wife who has gotten away. San Francisco Democrats kept battering me, non-stop, on a daily basis. And now those Democrats are hysterical over feeling "alone".

As I pointed out months and months ago, a batterer is a batterer -- meaning, the same batterer who will batter a wife or child, is the same batterer who will batter a neighbor or friend. And now the Democrats are battering each other.

But the Democrats do not understand this, yet. Honestly, I do hope they do begin to understand this. For them to comprehend this requires they expand beyond their own limited ideology(ies). In their worldview, only Republicans batter, only Christians batter, only evil white men batter.

And this is why true-blue liberals are terrified, talk about moving to Canada. "They are coming for us!" is the terrified squeak coming out of Blue zones meccas.

So if that is so, why aren't Red-Zoners moving to Blue-Zone areas? They aren't. Red-zoners are seeking out other Red-Zone places to live and work and raise their families. The Lib-Dems do not realize the batterers they, themselves, are. Nor do they realize they've created their own effigy to terrify themselves with and by.

There's talk this morning in the news of Democrats seeking to "reinvent" themselves. Which translates to: "more of the same".

Yes, it is time, for Republicans to move, strike the ground, and move quickly. Already there is evidence of this: President Bush in his regular radio updates, and press meeting. This is good.
