Despite having one of the country's best educated electorates, New York had
one of the lowest voter turnout rates in the nation last week.
Only 45.8% of voting age New Yorkers went to the polls on Election Day,
putting New York in a dismal 46th place in the list of 50 states.
The article then goes on to say that " Highest voter turnout came in states allowing voters to literally register at the last minute - on Election Day. "
Lessee... 30 years of sex-ed in the schools equals an increase in abortion and STDS. Yup.. is also reflected in this "registering at the lost minute" action.
In the article, a Democrat thinks last minute registering is great! A Republican says it's not so good, and "election officials have enough time to verify the identities of new registrants. "
I hold with the Republican.
Weeks and weeks leading on up to a vital body surgery, folks go in for blood tests, all sorts of tests in preparation for the Big Day. They should be planning ahead in regards voting, too.
Not even to get into "fraudulent" voting, here. bah.
