A Latino civil rights group has filed a federal lawsuit against the Maricopa

Community Colleges over racially charged messages a professor has posted on the campus computer system.

"The e-mails transmitted by Mr. Kehowski have, among other things, denounced
'multiculturalism' and 'd-d-d-diversity' and encouraged recipients to acknowledge and celebrate the superiority of Western Civilization," the lawsuit claims. "These e-mails also contained excerpts from and links to articles denigrating Latinos, immigrants and many other minority groups, with titles such as 'California's Being Invaded, Too - By Hispanic Holidays.' "

But college administrators say Kehowski has not violated any school rules and they say his right to use the computer is protected.

"The same freedoms that allow faculty members to voice opposition to this and allow students to have protests are the same laws that protect faculty members and allow (Kehowski) to have his opinion," said Chris Chesrown, spokeswoman for the community colleges. "The college environment is indeed supposed to be a marketplace of ideas. Some of those ideas will not be ideas that everyone adheres to."

And, I admit I'm so jaded and burnt out on whiners who go to college allegedly to learn but instead seem to spend all their time doing "social justice" crapola. Yes, yes, of course there's a time and a place for that. However, I have zero (0) respect for MALDEF. I was in CA for too many years, and MALDEF is racial ID scam operation; Maldef is not for social justice - it's for special rights for specific persons adhering to a range of skin hues, and places of origin in the Latina/Hispanic/Chicana sector. Again, it's about money and power.

I don't like bigotry and racism. MALDEF works for only its own "kind". So why the heck should I give two twits for anything they have to say?

And here's my jaded part: I've been at "community college" via my kids.. for 7 years now (cumulative), and what these eyes have seen.. These racial ID groups are rude, demanding, they disrupt classes, and they seem to have the idea they are the hottest "social cliques" on campus. Ick. It's like, highschool, but with skin tone coloring the focus. Double ick.
