Jed Babbin's Got it Right: Rumsfeld
---snip
As another Southern gentleman of my acquaintance often says, "If you can't run with the big dogs, you'd better go sit on the porch." That admonition should be taken to heart by all the ankle biters in Congress and the press who are calling for the beheading of Big Dog Don Rumsfeld. Their criticisms -- especially those coming from congressional Republicans -- are the worst sort of cowardice and political opportunism.

As wars go, this war has been astoundingly successful and with relatively few American deaths. There are moments when I ponder the mission, how many troops, the duration, the enemies, the political and practical problems -- I am humbled by such planning.
The libs are playing a game of political "red rover". IME, they were hoping to lynch Rumsfeld and proffer up their "guy". They still don't get that Rumsfeld's face along side President Bush's -- is on the cover of every single victory in Iraq/Afghanistan. Therefore, dittos on those campaigns that weren't successful or wherein American military were murdered. There've been infinitely more successes than losses.
The American people voted for continued victory this past November. SOOoooo, the liberal elite in America are hoping to chip away at victory, and a victory team and campaign.
The liberals do Harassment lawsuits in order to silence and punish their political opponents. I know this one: It means you get dragged into a legal quagmire created by liberals. They think it is funny.
It isn't.
