Just downright amazing.... We've certainly been here before. And speaking of that, why have there never been polls asking populations about Dems boycotting what they perceive to be "tilted" media... that is media tilting in the opposite direction of their views.
Like it or not, FOX Network is consistently king in media news ratings. Yet reaching their vast viewership is still apparently offensive to the major Dem Presidential contenders.
The Democratic debate hosted by Fox News and the Congressional Black Caucus Institute threatens to be 90 minutes of bad TV, a planned presidential forum without the big-name candidates, a political event with few politicians.
Only three candidates, mostly lesser-knowns at that, have agreed to show up. The Big Three -- Sens. Hillary Rodham Clinton (N.Y.) and Barack Obama (Ill.) and former Sen. John Edwards (N.C.) -- said several months ago thatthey would not debate on the network that many Democrats believe tilts far to the right.
Hey... I'm way kewl with the exercising.. or NOT exercising... the right to free speech. It's simply the American way. And quite frankly, one wouldn't find me tuning in to the Fox/CBC event anyway.
But there's something quite telling and forked-of-tongue by those shoving the "free speech", "unite the country" and "fairness doctrine" arguments down our throats consistently while simultaneously and deliberately boycotting the largest viewership of cable news simply because of they don't find the "choir" amongst their audience. Evidently the only denizens of the nation they want to unite is those that refuse to watch viewpoints other that those traditionally progressive or liberal.
It's been pointed out before... if these candidates can't take on alternative viewpoints and debate in unfriendly media waters here in the US, just how will they fare against our real and very dangerous enemies in political Islam?
Then again, I need to give them credit for a campaign platform promise. For a group that has touted their drive for "transparency", they've certainly delivered on their "transparency" here when it comes to dialogue, listening to all the nation, and having anything that resembles balls.
Wusses.... where are the leaders of the free world today?
