In this article, David Horowitz is debating David Swanson (read the article for his bio). I blog this article and because Mr. Horowitz's points are a reminder of why and how we went into Afghanistan and Iraq. Some of his points are so expertly and succintly phrased as to clear some webs in my own mind about the matter.
Further, Mr. Horowitz expertly deconstructs the verbiage of the left.

It never fails that in times like this, I am reminded that BOTH World Wars, the Korean War, and Viet Nam were initiated under the aegis of a Democratic administration.
Yet, in every case, despite opposition from with the Republican circles, they still rallied around the President (and Commander-in-Chief) and showed PUBLIC support his actions.
It saddens me that the DNC, having been hijacked by the likes of every Hollyweird loudmouth, George Soros, and MoveOn.org, can't recipricate in these times of a VERY long and portracted conflict!
I think Sheehan's Shenanigan's are just perfect, myself. The Dem's have been complaining they don't have a message, or can't get it across.
Uh.. okie doke. I hear that message loud and clear now, and so does the rest of the nation. Many of whom I also believe are quite appalled at the strident, callous tone.
I would almost find it disrespectful of her son, But it's truly not. For he knew - better than she - the price we must pay for the freedom to behave as badly as she... and still live.
He many not think she uses that freedom wisely, but he gave his life for her to be able to do exactly this.
Sheehan's "vigil" regarding her son Casey is only about using Casey as the new "reframing" matter of Dem Liberal politics. In this matter, according to the leftist view "Casey's death will not have been in vain" as long as the liberals can confiscate "religiosity".
Therefore, the Dems are perfectly comfortable about not having a "message". Their message is growing underneath the MSM radar reportage. They are going for the "values-based" issue, masquerading as "Christianity". But is heavily tied to the National and World Council of Churches.
