Same ol' anti American headlines

Woman, Children Die in U.S. Attack on Taliban
Kabul (Reuters)

Has the MSM learned nothing from the rising power of the blogosphere as an influence for news information? Apparently not.

Note the glaring headline... the usual "we kill children" nonsense.

No one is happy when an innocent dies... least of all the soldiers, who's hearts must be heavy when they see one so young among the dead militants. But this particular writer, and most of the MSM in general, need to be reminded that far more innocents were dying in Afghanistan before the Taliban was desposed. This is a fact that should never be ignored, let alone forgotten.

Yet nestled in the story is the admittance that the insurgency has declined over the past years, and appears disorganized. In short, the citizens of Afghanistan are winning the battle to keep their country out of the hands of the vicious Taliban regime. One would think that would be worthy of the headline... but no.

There's truly little in this story that's worthy of even an single line excerpt reprint here. Other than the headline, the text lays out the battles where the innocents were caught in the heat of fire - most battles taking place near the Pakistani border where the insurgency has been most active. Heartbreaking.

But blood has always been spilt achieving and maintaining freedom. And the sadness of this blood and lives lost is easier to accept than the senseless deaths under the rule of the likes of fanatical Islamic terrorists.

As usual, the MSM needs an attitude adjustment, and to recognize that the sensationalism they employ in their headlines is best left to Hollywood.
