Italy: Who is Manuevering Ransom for Hostages?

The buzz this morning.

I begin with this article "Italy 'paid $1m to free hostages'", dated 09-24-04.

A senior Italian politician says he believes a ransom of $1m or more was paid for the release of two female Italian aid workers kidnapped in Iraq.

Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini said no money had been paid but MP Gustavo Selva described the denial as purely "official".

Allegations of an Italian ransom, first made in a Kuwaiti newspaper, have been widely reported in Italy.

Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi fuelled the rumours by talking of "a difficult choice which had to be made", the BBC's Guto Harri notes from Rome.

Gustavo Selva is head of the Italian parliament's foreign affairs committee and a member of the National Alliance, one of the parties in the governing coalition.

Mr Berlusconi has spoken of 16 separate negotiations to free the women

According to the link:

The National Alliance (Alleanza Nazionale) is a right-wing Italian party, formed from most of the former Italian Social Movement (Movimento Sociale Italiano, MSI) and conservative elements of the former Christian Democrats, the National Alliance (Alleanza Nazionale, AN) was created in 1994.

And according to the sublink,
The Italian Social Movement (Movimento Sociale Italiano) (MSI) was a neo-Fascist party formed in the post-World War II period by supporters of the executed dictator Benito Mussolini. It is now defunct and most of its members joined the more moderate Alleanza Nazionale, or "National Alliance."

Now then. Factor these other bits and pieces of data:

From the IndyMedia website concerning their website being under FBI (maybe?) investigation:

Who Took Ahimsa exactly: (FBI in the UK? UK cops?)

Today it was confirmed to Italy Indymedia that the order for the seizure of indymedia's hard drives in London's offices of Rackspace originated from Bologna.

[That is unclear.]

Marina Plazzi, the judge in charge of investigations upon FAI (Informal Anarchist Federation) and "bomb-threats" delivered to the President of the EU Commission Romano Prodi, was ordered to acquire information about posts published on italy.indymedia.org The FBI took “extreme” action in seizing the logs, going beyond the court order. As the prosecutor did not not validate the seizure and the hardware had to be returned.

WHAT IS THE ANARCHIST FEDERATION:

The Anarchist Federation is an organisation of class struggle anarchists (based in Britain and Ireland, but with many contacts overseas) which aims to abolish Capitalism and all oppression to create a free and equal society. This is Anarchist Communism.

and is affiliated with:

International of Anarchist Federations / l'Internationale des Federations Anarchistes (IFA)

awwww, big surprise ... they link to the US Anarchists, as well as everywhere else. In sum: The Usual Suspects".

Now, who is the Informal Anarchist Federation, what are they up to

Italian Interior Minister Giuseppe Pisano said investigators believe the Bologna-based operatives behind the EU attacks have allies in France, Germany, Greece, Spain and Switzerland. (article date: 01-06-04

and then who is the Formal Anarchist Federation of Italy?

I'll close for now, with this via Al Jazeera, dated 10-02-04:

Freed Italian backs Iraqi resistance

An Italian aid worker in Iraq held captive and subsequently freed has said fighters there are right to fight US-led forces and what she called their Iraqi puppet government.

In comments that were bound to annoy Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi's government, Simona Torretta also called on Rome to withdraw the troops it sent to Iraq to support its US ally.

Torretta, who lived in Iraq before, during and after the US-led invasion, said she wanted to return despite her ordeal - but would not do so as long as US troops were there: "I've got to wait until the end of the US occupation," she said.

She said she did not know whether Italy bought her freedom from the captors: "If a ransom was paid, then I am very sorry. But I know nothing about it. I believe that [the captors] were a very political, religious group and that in the end they were convinced that we were not enemies."

I believe PM Burlesconi. You are probably wondering: Who is Paying the Ransom Money. I suspect it is coming from a number of places, some from within the Government in Italy; but not from Burlesconi.

Where and how did so much Ransom Money get "amassed"? Bill Clinton's "PayPal proposal for Tsunamis," etc.?

I wonder where IDENTITY THEFT plays in. The money's got to be coming from a place which has MONEY, or... dare I say it... a CAPITALIST system.

RUCKUS just loves to play games, and they've got some pretty good geeks, nerds, and hackers on board, not just in the US, but around the world. Just a considered hunch. lol. (I saw an article yesterday concerning the more recent spates of Identity Theft -- that these are being done by blokes "just" wanting money. No conspiracy; just money. So, does this make them accessories to Mercenaries and terrorists? Maybe).

And from the China Daily (one of your old Blog Entries, MATA) from 10-02-04: Zawahri urges Muslims to hit US allies' interests

An audio tape attributed to Al Qaeda's deputy leader urged Muslims Friday to organize resistance against "crusader America" and its allies throughout the world.
...
"Let us start resisting now. The interests of America, Britain, Australia, France, Poland, Norway, South Korea and Japan are spread everywhere. They all took part in the invasion of Afghanistan, Iraq or Chechnya or enabled Israel to survive."

Ooohh... that "evil" capitalism. All that evil "capitalism" should be used for PEOPLE, not "regimes", eh? I'd like to get Giuliana Sgrena into MY interrogation center...

And this morning's headline? Spanish Muslims Issue Fatwa Against Usama

Well. That's nice. They need to sideline their "fatwa" with being "against the hostage taking" too. That would be a start in the right direction. How about they also condemn theft?

Oh My, the socialists whine.. the EVIL Patriot Act!, Social(ist) Security is IN GREAT SHAPE! What's a lefty to do? hen "peaceful" disruptions are thwarted, the Socialists far left arms resort to violent means, no? It's their pattern.

The lefties are in a quagmire. Ergo, I do believe this administration, and SecDef Rumsfeld. Brace yourselves, keep your eyes open for suspicious activities.

Condi recently said that "Washington" does not support the activities of Citizens guarding the border between USA and Mexico. I don't think she's saying "wrong!"; I think she doesn't want to see decent people hurt in a squeeze game possibly about to be played out. The ACLU is busy "supervising" the Minutemen at the border.

Now, danged, but my brain is hummering.. What Blogger just wrote about "WHO IS WATCHING THE WATCHERS"?

Yep. From center-to-fringe. Lefties may be going underground with their coded language. But their fingerprints are everywhere.

It's just a matter of time. Round 'em up, Boys!
