Rush and MoDo: Was Feminism a cruel hoax?

Click here for coverage on both MoDo (Maureen De Dowd) column, and Rush's commentary. Excellent commentary, and of course I add:

IME, the men wishing women with less demanding careers: In short form, perhaps they do not wish for an overstressed mate? Yeppo! The working mom. Feminisms' cruelest hoax was in perpetrating that "woman can have it all" "do it all" "be it all". It isn't just the children who suffer, it is the husbands of these women who suffer -- and most of all? The women themselves who suffer the most -- so stressed for time, so many demands.

So, if men are looking for a mate with less demanding "career" talents, perhaps it is because men have wised up to that the fact that should there be children, their wife will thereby not be so heavily comprised. Majority-wise, Females/Mothers insist upon being the primary "caregiver" of children. Yes, even in this enlightened age.

I don't buy this "subservient" crapola MoDo is dishing out. Of course there are exceptions and indeed I've met my own fair share of knuckledraggers.

I do suspect that men are wised up after 30+ years of feminism, broken marriages, children raised astray, unhappiness.

But! How many "career" driven women are looking for men with less demanding careers but who'd be happy to be an at home daddy? There are some women like this -- but they are few and far between.

Yo! Mo-Do? Reset your husband hunting standards. Look for one of the latter.
