Combat wounded toll surpasses 10,000 mark
Associated Press on The Navy Times
The number of U.S. troops wounded in Iraq since the start of the war in March 2003 has surpassed 10,000, the Pentagon said Tuesday in a delayed update of its casualty data.
Of the 10,252 total wounded, the Pentagon said 5,396 were unable to return to duty and 4,856 sustained injuries that were light enough to allow them to resume their duties.

Any number over zero for US wounded or dead is tough to accept. Each and every one has loved ones and friends coming to grips with their loss.
While the world rallies to the tsunami victims, please make sure our troops do not get lost in the financial shuffle.
I was pleased to find one site that listed quick links to just about every soldier related program going.
NOANIE.COM
Noanie is not only an Air Force wife of 24 years, but an active patriot, organizing everything from orientation for young military wives to toy campaigns for orphans. She's not only lived from "sea 2 sea" (no personal affiliation with this blog), but spent 10 years overseas as well.
I think she's done a stellar job, not only on her website, but as an example of the boundless energy and compassion of Americans. This is truly one lady who will have to make no apologies at the Pearly Gates!
Thank you troops.. and thank you Noanie!
