Fear and fear mongering
Debra Saunders, SF Chronicle
Mata Musing
Ms Saunders, a woman of uncommonly good sense except her choices on where to live, brings this side dish on the tsunami disaster to the table. Amid the stories of survival, prevention in the future, the details of getting aid to the region, we also see the rise of pond scum.
Some have appeared in the guise of charities, using the big hearts of Americans as a scam opportunity. Others, such as the global warming alarmists, will seize it as an opportunity to advance their agenda.
It is the latter that Ms. Saunders tilts in her latest column.
While I'm generally bored with the rants and raves of the super-eco types, the volume of their screams combined with the amount and slant of press translates to ugly international manure coming our way. In this case, the Kyoto Treaty issue looms in the background.
Their voices in the MSM are worthy of attention... primarily to make sure their propaganda makes no in-roads by taking advantage of so many in a high emotional state.
