Kerry's Foreign Trip Seen As Effort to Maintain 'High Profile'
(CNSNews.com) - When the 109th Congress convenes on Tuesday, Sen. John F. Kerry won't be there. According to the Boston Globe, Kerry is busy "reemerging on the public stage this week with a 13-day fact-finding trip through the Middle East." Democrats quoted in the article say the trip shows Kerry is determined to maintain a high profile, despite losing his presidential campaign. As part of that effort, he is traveling without any other elected official. His first stop was Amman, Jordan, and he also expects to visit Iraq, Kuwait, Syria, Egypt, Israel, and the West Bank. He'll be focusing on the war in Iraq and the Middle East peace process, the Globe said.
No surprise that Kerry, once again, doesn't do the job he already has and prefers to lobby for a bigger job instead. When will the MASS types get fed up with this freeloader?
Democrats Urged to Buy 'Enlightened American' Wristbands
(CNSNews.com) - A Florida company is selling an "electric blue" wristbands to disenchanted Democrats as a way of helping them "band together." The wristbands say "Enlightened American," and they signify that the wearer supports "democratic candidates and ideals," said ZarKar Inc., the company that is selling wristbands online for $2.99 apiece. "Many Democrats were disappointed by the results of the 2004 Presidential election," ZarKar said in a press release. "Now, as the Inauguration approaches, some remain in a state of disbelief, while others feel that their voices will remain unheard and their needs unmet by the incoming administration. "By wearing the Enlightened American wristband, these individuals band together in common voice declaring that they remain firm in their ideals, especially during this important political time." ZarKar says it will donate a portion of its profits to a charitable organization that supports civil rights for all. This month's proceeds will go to children affected by the tsunami disaster, it said.
LOL! Why do I suspect this marketing genius was thunk-up by an entrepreneurial conservative!

Blue wristbands for Blue Staters?? What a novel idea: a way to identify liberals without actually having to hear them prattle on about their lost prophet, John Kerry!
