There is a thin veil which separates concensus reality from "other" dimensions. I believe the following two stories have parallels. On one hand there exist those who refuse to acknowledge the veil, and on the other exist those who do acknowledge the veil and fight to keep these veils as separate but real.
In the first story, a family is plagued by apparitions and noises in their home. Up until now, they've adopted a pedestrian approach to dealing with these unwanted "guests", and with no positive results.
In the second story, the Gonzalez hearings: Most Telling Part of Gonzales Hearings: The Ticking Time Bomb Question,
Arlen Spector asks a very real question of those "pedestrian" experts who assert that no "torture" be allowed under any circumstances. Arlen Spector sees through the veil which the "experts" do not.
The parallels between these two stories is very real and valid and solid.
