Continued assault on America's election process

By Manuel Roig-Franzia and Dan Keating

Mata Musing:

Olbermann's one man band, attempting to stir up national discontent and distrust of America's voting system, has found it's audience in conspirators and quasi-sympathetic pundits desperately attempting to give the story legs - without looking as foolish as Dan Rather and the New York Times.

To cover their literary butts, each and every story with the screaming headline suggesting voter fraud includes, somewhere near the bottom of course, the clarification that a different outcome for the Nov 2nd Presidential election is somewhere between slim and none. Heavens, when even Jake Tapper... as dedicated to the left as they come... debunks the story, clearly there is nothing conspiratorial, and even less that is newsworthy.

Obviously facts do not deter the massive Kerry legal staff, now concentrating their efforts in Ohio to ensure "every ballot is counted". Then again, having so many attorneys on retainer, the DNC must believe that... if nothing else... shaking the public's confidence in their elected leader to increase your odds for 2008 election is worth the price. What the hey... they were all on standby anyway. All dressed up and no where to go.

It is obvious that Kerry has not, nor shows any intentions of, stopping his perpetual Presidential campaign.

My personal observations are the pundits are, as usual, missing the bigger story. That being broken promises from the losers, and their dedication to widening the chasm they have so handily contributed to creating. Already they are back pedaling on their empty promises made in the wake of their devastating loss to "heal" or "unite" as Americans on Nov 3rd.

Instead they still use the left leaning MSM, who thrives on scandals and conspiracy theories for ratings, to help further divide the nation by questioning the very legitimacy of our election process, ignoring the consequences of what would happen if the American public's faith in our election system was exorbitantly shaken.

It's going to be a long 4 years....
