Environmentalists responsible for Tzunami deaths

I came to consciousness from sleep, flashing on the survivors and victims of the tzunami this morning. And, I wondered if perhaps the years as they begin and end might resemble that old acorn about the month of March: begin as a lion; exit as a lamb/begin as a lamb; exit as a lion. And if so, perhaps, the end of this new year, 2005, might just see us all experiencing great joy, given we began the year with keen sorrow.

I admit, I've been watching hours of Redneck Comedy, last few days and enjoying it mightily. And why? I'm inside it: I understand WHY it is funny. I understand why these folks are as they are. Think on this: not far from me are folks still using outhouses. And, why? Because they don't have someone telling them how to live, how they must spend their money. These folks cherish freedom. I'm sure some might wish for indoor plumbing, had they the funds. But I don't see any of them wrangling and harassing government and the presses for a HANDOUT: Making everyone else responsible for ensuring they "get" indoor plumbing.

The situation with the tzunami is different: I'm sure as a liability move, given that the areas hit are meccas of tourism, they must now draft some type of "warning" system. This here, IMHO, is a matter of world peace. Were these areas NOT economic centers based on international tourism, I'm sure there'd be little outside pressure to "strongly" encourage a "warning" system.

Yep, that twit, Jeff McNeely suggesting that "people" are the problem really hasn't thought his argument through, IMHO.

Who is it always wrangling for "small" third world countries -- "see how wonderful the people are"? Or, the environmentalist slogan: Get back to nature? Who is it always suggesting that the imperialistic, evil large countries are to be avoided, and people need to get back to their natural roots of simplicity? Environmentalists and their coalition political partners!

If they weren't out there all the time bashing folks for wanting to visit "consumer" driven places like... uh, MacDonalds, Disneyland.. but instead to visit remote, under-developed countries -- I BET THE DEATH TOLL WOULD BE A LOT SMALLER!

So, if we all wanna play at the blame game, let's blame environmentalists for their encouragement against technology, for travel to remote third world, underdeveloped countries. For their encouragement to "get back" to nature.

Well, heck, Mr. Jeff McNeely -- the death toll is still climbing on people who wanted to get back to "simplicity" and closer to nature. You happy now?

I think a federal investigation should begin on airline companies offering special "get away" packages to 3rd world, underdeveloped countries -- to ascertain how much lobbying was done for said packages by ye olde environmentalist activists. Don't you think so too? There's a conspiracy! It'll require lots of billions of US taxpayer dollars to track the links. And even if we don't find 'em, we'll keep on spending money until we DO find those links.

This is how US Democrats have played for years.

In a word: Knock it the hell off!

Oops. Almost forgot! Happy New Year to You!

If we're going to have a contest of who to blame for the tsunami, I'm putting in my vote for Islamic terrorists.

Hey, why not?

While it may seem absurd on the surface, it was terrorists themselves that planted this notion in my head. In one of the articles I posted.. heaven knows which one at this moment... they mentioned Americans should look to the tsunami disaster, suggesting God had a hand in discipling the evil West.

Silly rabbits. Like I said, if they didn't have weapons and the macabre love of bloodshed and power, they would never command the fear they so enjoy. I swear their brain cells are so focused on warfare that they ignore demographics and history.

The hardest hit by the tsunami was Indonesia... 88% Muslim population, per WIKIPEDIA data. Sri Lanka, the next most affected, is widely diverse. Muslims, most of which practice Sunni Muslim, make up only 7% of the population. The majority population, Sinhaleseis, are Buddist.

Christians are a "sizeable minority" among the Sinhalese and Tamils in Sri Lanka. But one can't classify the country as a hotbed of western progressive infidels.

Jews don't even get a mention, so their numbers must be extremely low in the area.

Thus, if the tsunami were an act of an angry deity, one could only point to Allah as that deity. And in this case, it would appear Allah is inflicting most of the damage on the Muslims.

Personally I find it a pity that Mother Nature can't wipe out the terrorist scum, and leave the rest in peace. Would save us all alot of trouble.
